Sarasota-Manatee Housing Market STABILIZES & PRICES CONTINUE TO BE STRONG
Following some closing delays caused by Hurricane Ian, the latest October data for the Sarasota and Manatee housing market continues to follow the same trend of fewer sales and rising inventory in September. We are continuing to see inventory level off; however, prices continue to be very strong, but inventory has not increased significantly, which means that it is still a great time to sell. Median prices for Sarasota County continue to show year-over-year increases but are not as high as prices recorded earlier this year. For single-family homes, the median sale price in Sarasota County increased by 22.2 percent to $497,275 year-on-year. This is still a great time to sell, with a realistic price point, and a good time to buy, as inventory is increasing and we have moved on from the madness of a few months ago.
