A STABILIZING MARKET MAY 2023 MARKET STATISTICS

2023 is once again showing us that real estate is hyperlocal. Despite the persistence of higher home prices and interest rates, there is still buyer demand, which is keeping the Sarasota market comfortably busy during the slower summer season. With housing inventory sitting at the 3 month mark, it is still technically a sellers market, but we can see an increase in the time it takes for properties to go under market and a decrease in new listings coming on, which serves to balance supply and demand and will result in a more stable, steady market.
